Art Appreciation: Level 1

$9.99

Inspired by Charlotte Mason’s encouragement to expose children to high quality and excellent art, we have created a program designed to do just that! Aimed at children ages 4-7, we created a lesson plan that is filled with a huge variety of paintings, from the European masters of the Renaissance to sketches by Australian Aborigines, from abstract art to hyper-realism, from cave paintings to modern commercial art - this program surveys it all! You will find the paintings and artists you recognize alongside artists you’ve never heard of. In all there are 180 different works of art to observe and explore.

Using this diverse range of artwork, we make a daily lesson plan that allows for creative interpretation and concrete observation through age-appropriate questions.

Check out the sample lessons to get a small taste of what the complete program has to offer.

Be warned - due to copyright issues, the artwork itself is NOT included in this program - rather, links to museums and other websites that host scans of the artwork are provided, with each artwork having its own link. As such, this course requires an internet connection!
