Tiny Toon Adventures
Summary: A sucessor (in more ways than one) to the Looney Tunes cartoons. Here the children (or nephews or cousins, etc.) of the Looney Tunes characters “go to school” and generally do crazy, wacky visual gags for very silly reasons.
Warnings: General cartoon violence that is played for laughs and outrageous lack of realism. Some minor bullying or meanness and mild name calling.
Opinion: Basically, if your children would enjoy the slap stick silliness of Looney Tunes, then here are more cartoons like them. Fast paced and full of absolutely bizarre twists of reality’s rules, this is just fun ridiculousness, for the most part. There can be lessons in the cartoons as well, such as being kind or persistent or other positive traits, but that’s a secondary consideration over the zany actions of the characters.
I do recommend this for just laugh-out-loud fun.
Sequels/Remakes: This is generally a sequel to the Looney Tunes cartoons. There are other cartoons that were inspired by Looney Tunes, but none of the other cartoons are directly related to this one. This is considered a ‘sister series’ to the Animaniacs series.
Educational Value: 1 out of 3 stars. Despite the minor moral lessons, nothing is really educational in this series.
Cultural value: 1 out of 5 stars. It almost pains me to admit, this is skipable. This is pretty much a forgotten show.
Age rating: This show is appropriate for ages 6 and older.
